Owning a vineyard and making wine is the ultimate dream of many wine lovers but few ever take the leap of faith required to make the dream come true.
In 2008, a small group of friends and family, driven by a love of wine and a sense of adventure, took that leap and acquired three acres of raw land in the Uco Valley at the foot of the Andes Mountains, one of Argentina's richest wine growing regions.
Driven by the desire to make great wines from the best grapes the land could produce, and guided by the talent and expertise of The Vines of Mendoza team, ten novices jumped in and learned about viticulture and wine-making - from vineyard planting to label designing to varietal blending of the final product.
Their dream was realized with the release of the 2011 vintage in October 2013. The name, Encendido, suggests the wines’ seductive power to stir the senses and ignite the soul. These extraordinary wines were received with great enthusiasm and sold out within weeks.
Since that first vintage, BuenaVintura Vineyard has produced a growing family of award winning wines. Currently we have four red wines that have received 90-plus scores.
In 2017, we added our first white wine, an unoaked Chardonnay, to our portfolio of fine wines. This year, we are introducing our first Rose, made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes grown on the estate.

Barrel Fermented Cabernet Franc: Introducing our single vineyard, barrel fermented wine made from the varietal that is creating a buzz on the Argentina wine scene. If you've only tasted the French version or you are not familiar with this varietal, this is the wine to try. It is that "where have you been all my life?" experience that red wine lovers yearn for. Red Blend: Similar to the '11 Blend, it both amplifies and melds the spice and fruit of these two varietals to create a match made in heaven.

Barrel Fermented Malbec: Early indications are that this wine will be another outstanding example of the elegant style of Malbec from the Uco Valley.
Barrel Fermented Cabernet Franc: Also know as our "pet project"! We love this wine and we are not alone. Patricio Tapia, the preiminent critic of South American wines, gave this wine 91 points and called it "one of the best Cabernet Francs from the region". Can't do much better than that!
Cruzado: An artistic blend of our estate grown super premium farmed Malbec and Cabernet Franc with a splash of Syrah. Magic in the mouth!
